Lincoln Memorial University invites applications for a full-time Instructor of Biology specializing in Anatomy and Physiology. This position is located on LMU’s main campus in Harrogate, Tennessee, and offers an opportunity to join a student-centered academic community committed to excellence in teaching, scholarship and service.
The successful candidate will primarily teach lecture and laboratory sections of Human Anatomy and Physiology I and II. Additional teaching assignments may include other courses supporting the curriculum of the Department of Biology and Chemistry.
Primary Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate Human Anatomy and Physiology lecture and laboratory courses.
- Provide engaging, evidence-based instruction that supports student learning and success.
- Maintain appropriate course materials, assessments and academic records.
- Participate in departmental, school and university service.
- Engage in scholarly and professional-development activities.
- Support the missions of Lincoln Memorial University, the School and the Department of Biology and Chemistry.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Anatomy, Anatomy and Physiology, or an appropriately related discipline.
- Educational preparation consistent with the requirements of Lincoln Memorial University and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges.
- Evidence of the potential for effective teaching and scholarly activity.
Preferred Qualification
- Previous college-level teaching experience.
