The Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell ( seeks a qualified medical educator to participate in the delivery of our integrated physiology and pathophysiology curriculum.  The successful applicant will serve as co-director of our neuroscience course, contribute to other organ-based curricula, participate in the facilitation of our case-based learning curriculum and will be expected to engage in scholarly activities related to biomedical and/or medical education research.

 Applicants must possess a PhD in neuroscience, physiology or related field and at least three years of experience teaching clinically oriented neuroanatomy and neurophysiology. Experience teaching other organ-based physiology and pathophysiology preferred.  Demonstrated ability to develop and execute curricula and interest in innovative pedagogical approaches a must. Candidates must demonstrate willingness to contribute to multidisciplinary biomedical instruction in both small group and large group settings.  Must demonstrate strong leadership skills, be able to establish and maintain positive working relationships with staff, faculty, and students of diverse cultural backgrounds, create measurable goals, set timelines and meet deadlines.  A strong record of academic productivity and evidence of continued scholarship preferred.  Must demonstrate superior organizational skills, attention to detail, and be able to approach challenges with creativity and innovation. Must have computing experience with proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.  Experience with learning management systems and other educational software preferred.
