The Department of Anatomy at New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine (NYITCOM), Old Westbury campus, invites applications for a three-year Postdoctoral Teaching and Research Fellow position. The Anatomy Department includes 9 full-time faculty with active research programs in paleontology, evolution, development, functional morphology, biomechanics, and neurosensory anatomy. The successful applicant will have access to the department's Visualization Center equipped with micro-CT scanner, CT processing software; a fresh tissue laboratory for histology and staining; an embryology laboratory for in vivo experiments; a microscopy facility with confocal microscopes; both human and animal gait labs for collecting kinematic, kinetic, energetic, and EMG data; and the Center for Biomedical Innovation for robotics, VR, AR, and 3D printing. Start date: The position is open July 01, 2026
Stipend: USD $63,000.00–66,000.00 annually for 3 years

Requirements
Responsibilities: The successful applicant will participate annually in teaching teach human gross anatomy to osteopathic medical students along with the department's 9 full-time faculty. They will engage in independent research and/or collaborative research with the department's faculty.
Qualifications: The successful candidate will possess a Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Prior experience with clinically-oriented human anatomy is desirable but is not required.
